A University of Idaho student who has been missing since Saturday night was found dead under a bridge on Monday.
Joseph Wiederrick, 18, was found by a search and rescue team under the Paradise Creek bridge where he probably froze to death.
“He likely died of hypothermia in the sub-freezing temperatures,” said Chief Duke of the Moscow Police Department.
Joseph had gone to a party at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house on Saturday and never returned to his dorm room. His roommate reported him missing.
Police have been able to piece together what must have happened to Joseph that Saturday night.
A woman said she talked to Joseph at her home in Moscow. She said he seemed okay and he talked about walking home. He left there and walked to North Mountain View Road and knocked on the door of another house. The woman was frightened and told Joseph to go to the house across the street. It was likely that no one answered at the home across the street so Joseph kept walking, reports KTVB news. Examiner has the full article..
